THE PROTOS SUITE OF SOFTWARE PRODUCTS

The PROTOS products will operate on MS Windows 95/87/ME/2000/XP and NT 3.5 or higher.
The HTML output can be viewed under MS Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher or Netscape 4.0 or higher.

PROTOS Classic is the basic version and is purely for individual use. Data is file based and stored in windows directories, accessed and managed using standard Windows facilities.

PROTOS Personal is designed to provide all the benefits of Protos Enterprise on a single user pc. In environments where a single author needs to structure a set of business processes across one or more organisations, full control including re-usability and version control, is available. Personal comes with a built-in Sybase database that stores and manages its data.

PROTOS Enterprise is the client/server version of Protos, which was developed to allow teams of process designers to work together. This means that several people can work on a model at the same time. This version also gives added security by storing your process models in a central repository. With central authorisation and distribution process authors have full management control. Supports SQL Server and Oracle (v8.0+) database.

PROTOS Add-on Products are...

PROTOS Library enables you to have a single repository for all standard data, applications and role information that is used across process models. It is also possible to identify where they are used across the process models that are developed. This is particularly useful if you are documenting more than one process for an organisation which uses/shares common systems or if you are providing a consulting role and like to maintain 'common' data for your clients. Very much a time saver, set up the roles and data applications just once and manage them centrally.

PROTOS Indicator enables you to define and link required standards and norms, legislation and business specific information to your business processes. When connected to your processes, you can easily demonstrate where regulatory or quality requirements are met and safeguarded in the work process. You can implement standards in the areas of ISO, Corporate Governance, Environmental Protection, Health & Safety or any company specific 'norm' you would like to. You can also use Indicator to record performance indicators and risk factors. This tool has a wide range of applications and provides powerful support to create process-orientated quality systems such as the ISO 9000:2000 standards and demonstrating regulatory compliance.

PROTOS Organisation Modeller Provides a tool in which to model the organisation structure. You can then connect this structure to all parts of the modelled processes. Authorisations and distributions are easy to record. You have insight into areas of under and over staffing, as well as replacement/substitution arrangements. It allows you to combine knowledge of your processes and your organisation. It's particularly useful if you want to link corporate objectives to your processes and teams.
